Wedding at The Merchant Hotel – Karen and Clinton
When I received my latest booking for a Wedding at The Merchant Hotel in Belfast I have been really looking forward to it ever since. Although it is very much a city centre location it has a wonderful atmosphere and super iconic streets nearby with a super urban feel .
The day started out dull and overcast but I had hopes that it would clear up . Of course even if the weather is typical of Northern Ireland there are plenty of options inside this iconic building.
However when I arrived at the house in Greenisland it was raining quite heavily. We had plans for some great shots but conditions meant that a little improvisation was required and it was a really quick group of shots before the rain started again .
Then there was a drive into Belfast to The Merchant Hotel, by which time it had rained quite heavily and the footpaths etc were quite wet, but fortunately the weather had started to clear up.
We spent a little time taking a few shots while we waited for the last raining guests to arrive and to allow Clinton and Karen a little time for some final adjustments , then the ceremony took place with the Rev Gary McDowell having travelled up for Dublin to take the ceremony.
When the service was finished and the formalities over we were able to get some super shots around this wonderful hotel, and once footpaths had dried out a bit Karen and Clinton with a group of friends walked the short distance to Catheral Quarter.
After this is was super to get a little bit of time alone for a some more personal images.
This was a stunning intimate wedding in Belfast, at the fabulous Merchant Hotel as Karen and Clinton celebrated with their closest friends and family.
Here are just a few highlights of the day
